Remote with travel to Wolverhampton and 25-30% in-person meetings with learners/clients (nationwide)

Right now, our client is recruiting for a Functional Skills Programme Manager to join their already talented team.
Our client has an opportunity to join the team in a critical area as Functional Skills Programme Manager, supporting their growing apprenticeship provision. Passionate about the power of functional skills in transforming individuals to inspire their learners to want to engage with functional skills.
As the Functional Skills Programme Manager, you will lead the planning, management and implementation of their strategy for Functional Skills.
The successful candidate will be utilising the Skills Forward Functional Skills support package and will be working with up to 48 learners.
They will also be expected to devise, deliver and evaluate taught sessions around key areas of Functional English and Functional Maths to support a range of apprenticeship standards, supporting learners to apply in their day-to-day functionality of both.
Design and delivery of a comprehensive scheme of works and curriculum
Designing and delivering these three new core programmes to a range of apprenticeship learners with a range of employers.
Lead the design and development of innovative and contextualised functional skills resources.
Designing and delivering support sessions to Learning Coaches so that they confidently support embedding functional skills and effectively contextualise the promotion of functional skills throughout the learner journey.
Evaluating the quality of Functional Skills delivery and instigate support / interventions as appropriate.
Line Managing additional Functional Skills Tutors
Producing monthly reports on learner functional skills progress including achievements, forthcoming exam tests, learner attendance and engagement etc.
Skills and Experience Required
Experience of developing and writing a scheme of work
A Minimum of 2 years teaching experience for Functional Maths/Functional English/GCSE Maths/GCSE English.
Full Teaching Qualifications I.e. Cert Ed, C&G7407, L4 CET, L5 DET, PGCE
A Minimum of GCSE A/B grade or level 4 in Maths and English
In-depth experience of completion of Initial Assessments and progressing learners to successful completion of Functional skills
Experience delivering Functional skills to learners where English is not their first language
