Our client, a leading management, IT and technology consulting firm, require a Senior Level Consultant to join their award winning firm:

The Role:

You will be responsible for initial idea generation and strategy development through to detailed implementation. You will deliver significant and tangible results to our client’s customers through innovative thinking and in-depth sector expertise.

The Person:

• Significant experience in leading business development in the government consulting sector in Ireland
• An ability to lead teams and manage resources in the overall development of a market and at least 3 years leading consultancy assignments
• Experience in a traditional consulting role, a consultative approach and a passion for adding value to clients’ business and assisting them to embrace change
• Ideally a track record that has spanned both public and private sector organizations
• Demonstrated ability in one or more of the following areas: transformation, taking ideas from concept-to-delivery, informing policy development, managing change, and/or evaluating performance in support of complex programmes in the government arena
• A proven ability to think conceptually and to deliver practical results
• A proven track record in successfully working with and leading consultancy teams
• Degree level or equivalent qualification(s)

Software Engineering Manager
Our client, a new and award winning technology company is expanding and is now seeking to recruit a Software Engineering Manager for their Belfast office.
As the Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the design and development of our client’s suite of applications based in addition to managing a software development team co-located in Belfast and St. Petersburg.
Duties:
o Lead teams of developers through the entire product development lifecycle from specification and design through testing, to customer release of Java based software products
o Prepare and drive project schedules to completion within specified timeframes
o Plan and coordinate quality assurance
o Set goals for individual team members and the overall team
o Monitor and evaluate team member activities ensuring they are well prepared to complete their duties
o Performance management of team members
o Manage communication channels between the Belfast Engineering team and teams in other locations including outsource partners
o Generate and contribute ideas from your own experience
o Ensure timely and on budget delivery of projects
Skills:
o B.A. or B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
o Minimum 6 years Java experience (preferably with experience of Java based web services, web applications based development and J2EE) with at least 2 years gained in a team leader role.
o Experience of working with java testing frameworks such as Junit.
o Familiarity with Object relational mapping frameworks such as hibernate
o Good level of familiarity with Ant
o Previous experience of Database design and development (SQL Server and preferable Oracle, db/2 and MySQL)
o Experience/good level of familiarity with agile development principles
o Additional Desirable Technology Experience: XML, JSP, JDBC, Postgres, Linux
o Good knowledge of internet technologies
o Familiarity with Maven and Hibernate or similar technologies.
o Good knowledge of CSS, JavaScript and basic web page design principles
o
Remuneration will be commensurate with the Senior Management level of the position.
